2 Chainz Thinks He Bodied Kanye West, Pusha T & Big Sean On ‘Mercy’

2 Chainz, Pusha T and Big Sean appeared on Kanye West’s 4x-platinum single “Mercy” in 2012 and evidently, it’s still a topic of discussion eight years later.

On Wednesday (April 8), the rapper formerly known as Tity Boi shared a meme that posed the question, “Everybody BODIED this track but who had the best verse?”

Chainz had a simple answer, writing in the caption, “No disrespect but I kilt all dem boys.”

Chainz jumps on toward the end of the roughly five-and-a-half-minute track.

“Okay, now catch up to my campaign,” he spits on the track. “Coupe the color of mayonnaise/I’m drunk and high at the same time/Drinkin’ champagne on the airplane (Tell ’em)/Spit rounds like a gun range (Baow)/Beat it up like Rampage/Hundred bands, cut your girl/Now your girl need a Band-Aid (Damn)/Grade A, A1/Chain the color of Akon.”

“Mercy” served as the inaugural single from the Cruel Summer compilation. It boasted production from Lifted, Ye, Mike Dean and Mike WiLL Made-It as well as instrumentation from Hudson Mohawke. It relies heavily on samples from the dancehall song “Dust a Sound Boy” by Super Beagle.

The song peaked at No. 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and hit No. 1 on both the Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. It was officially certified quadruple platinum in 2016.

    1. Bars were corny compared to any legit rapper big sean would smoke 2 chainz so would pusha be a close call with him and kanye though at this point

    2. Um easy its Pusha T. Lyrically they aint no debate. Every other verse was ok i guess. Big sean was terrible though

    3. No argument 2 Chainz had the best verse on that song. The entire song was a build up for Chainz verse.

    4. Honestly, going on history and that alone… Anytime u see pusha on a track u throw it up louder and u sit up a little straighter because he’s gonna kill it… Guaranteed.

    5. Two door preference roof gone George Jefferson
That white frost on that pound cake
So yo Durban Hines is irrelevant

      WOOOOOOOOOO

    6. 2 chains is absolutely the weakest big name rapper I ever heard. His raps have no story no insight no education hardly ever do they stay consistent he is all over the place with no content behind it. It is laughable to me and actually it makes no sense. Who is telling him this shit is tight or that was hot man. I cant believe some top notch lyricist get on tracks with him. That song matter of fact was one he didn’t belong on. I told my woman listen to the shit he says its weak amateur flows. Just words that rhyme and repeating himself. I dont believe he thinks he had the best rap on mercy. If he does he needs to listen again listen close listen to what was said in each verse. I could go on but I’m done. I will finish for anybody that reads this by saying listen to this shit the man is saying when he’s rapping it is weak some rappers you can actually get educated from they talk about something they tell stories this man is not even close.

    7. Pusha t is dirt. Idk how ppl really think his verse was good. Chainz brings something different. All the verses on the song were below average but the song was still somehow good. Chainz clearly had a top two verse on the song.

    8. 2 Chainz definitely had the better verse but he had to have the best verse. GOOD Music was running things at the time and the 2 Chainz was featured on the song as a guest. He only had “Spend It” and “Duffle Bag Boy” when Mercy came out. Mercy definitely put 2 Chainz in a different light.

    9. Doesn’t Take MUCH to body LOONEY YE, P*SSY-T and LilSean! CHAINZ sh*ts on Mr Sunday School & deez LAMES!

    10. Two Chains had the best delivery but his verse was terrible. The degree of difficulty was very low on his verse

    11. NAH… PRODUCTION MADE HIS VERSE STAND OUT BECAUSE THE TRANSITION OF THE BEAT WHEN HIS VERSE STARTED…PUSHA T DEFINITELY HAD THE HARDEST PEN ON THAT SONG
