Thundercat lit the stage on fire during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance on Monday night (March 9).

Joined by longtime collaborator Flying Lotus,The Internet’s Steve Lacy and Slave’s Steve Arrington, the prodigious bass player executed a flawless live rendition of “Black Qualls,” the lead single from his forthcoming album, It Is What It Is.

As the performance came to an end, Thundercat paid tribute to Mac Miller, interpolating his song “What’s The Use?” from the late musician’s 2018 album Swimming.

Thundercat is currently on tour in support of It Is What It Is, which is expected to arrive on April 3 via Brainfeeder Records.
