JayDaYoungan is out of jail after being arrested for drug possession in Florida. According to Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office records, the 20-year-old rapper was released Sunday (May 12) after posting a $2500 bond.
The Louisiana-based artist, whose real name is Javorious Scott, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance without a prescription following a traffic stop on Saturday (May 11). He was supposed to perform at the 2019 Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, but the arrest prevented him from making the gig.

JayDaYoungan was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol prior to his scheduled performance at the 2019 Rolling Loud Festival. The Louisiana-based rapper was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

On Saturday morning (May 11), troopers pulled over a car driven by 23-year-old Trevonne Mingo for speeding. They conducted a search of the vehicle after the smell of marijuana was detected.
JayDaYoungan, whose real name is Javorious Scott, was among the passengers.
Troopers discovered 20 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and Oxycodone pills in their search. One of the four people in the car also had a loaded firearm.

JayDaYoungan, Mingo and another passenger were arrested and booked in Gadsden County Jail. A fourth person, identified as an 18-year-old female by WTXL-TV, was released from custody on a notice to appear.
The arrest of JayDaYoungan added to the drama affecting Saturday’s Rolling Loud lineup. Kodak Black was also apprehended by police before he could take the stage. Additionally, Lil Wayne skipped his performance after refusing to consent to a search by officers working the event.
