Multi-platinum “Always On Time” rapper Ja Rule is once again facing tax problems. According to Bossip, he hasn’t paid his taxes in over a decade — and now owes over $2 million.

The IRS issued a tax lien — which is imposed on a property or personal items as a result of failure to pay taxes — in late March for $443,442 in income he earned in 2016. However, a newly updated lien dated March 4 outlines back taxes from 2005 through to 2008, bringing his total owed to $2,031,753.

Ja Rule is no stranger to tax issues.

In April 2018, he was hit with a tax lien after he allegedly failed to pay $400,000 in taxes from 2014 to 2015, and also was also sentenced to time behind bars back in 2011 after pleading guilty to tax evasion after he failed to pay taxes on nearly $3 million in income.
