T.I. Honored By Georgia State Senate For Community Impact

T.I.’s work in the community was celebrated by the Georgia State Senate. Tip appeared at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta to be honored for his contributions in his home state on Friday (March 22).

The Grand Hustle boss was recognized for his nonprofit organizations Harris Community Works, which leads the charge of his philanthropic work, and For The Love Of Our Fathers, which specifically focuses on helping people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Donzella James, a Democratic state senator, sponsored the resolution to honor T.I.’s work through these organizations, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

T.I.’s community outreach has included contributions to hurricane relief efforts and speaking at Georgia schools as part of his post-prison community service. The veteran rapper has also hosted an annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in Atlanta.

The efforts of T.I. have gone beyond his home state too, including his outspoken criticism of the criminal justice system. He’s also been out in front of situations such as the Gucci boycott.

    1. TI getting an award like this is comical of the black community. With leaders like this guy….. to hell with this.

    2. We want to honor this race baiting POS, and thank this convicted felon, supporter of BLM and UsOrElse for buying silencers and fully automic machine guns to use on other blacks. Keep them prisons packed tip. You’re doing half the work bud, thanks.
