Twitter Erupts Following News Of 21 Savage’s Impending Release

Social media exploded on Tuesday (February 12) upon hearing the news 21 Savage was being released from an ICE detainment center. The platinum-selling rap star has been behind bars since February 3.

21 will reportedly be released on bond on Wednesday (February 13) pending a detainment hearing after nine long days of fighting. His lawyers revealed 21 was grateful for all the support during the ordeal.

“He says that while he wasn’t present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit,” the statement read. “[He’s] grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together.

“He will not forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people, he was locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country. And he asks for your hearts and minds to be with them.”

JAY-Z and Roc Nation brought their legal team onboard last week to assist on his case. The label was one of the first to celebrate his upcoming release on Twitter.

      1. He has donated to many charities and organizations, does community service often, speaks at schools, visits hospitals, and recognizes awareness for cancer inside his album booklets. Also, built a park in ATL for kids to play and pays the water bill for a local car wash, and pays tithes.

          1. I agree with you brother. Fletcher has some crazy facts. Rappers talking about drugs but yet want to boycott Gucci and Free a Britt. Why don’t they boycott the drug dealers, gun stores, liquor stores. Oh yeah if they don’t want to give money to the white man try staying out of prison. Rappers today I tell ya.

            1. do your research on his Bank Account campaign and pay attention to his actions instead his words you clown that goes for you too @Michael Corbin

    1. I don’t understand how it was unjust? All the fools saying that don’t understand how the law works. His Visa expired, that’s his own fault for not renewing it.. I don’t get how that is unjust.

      1. he was a kid you bellend. you can’t expect a kid to understand the complexities of laws , let alone immigration laws.

    2. I love how people speak of the law when clearly from statistics we can see just how unjust the justice system is I won’t even dive into it more than that but he was locked up prior to this and released and this was years ago after his expired visa. All of sudden Ice has a task force working overtime targeting people why didn’t they look into this years ago?

    3. America’s hypocrisy is insane we should start deporting all non native Americans then. You wanted asylum from Great Britain and now we are turning away those who seek it this is laughable these next few years are going to be very important for this country and the tide has a way of shifting in an unforgivable way. Russia has already infiltrated and so has China we think the next war is going to be fought with big guns news flash it’s already begun and nobody needed to lift a gun

    4. Thank God this illegal loaded gun toting immigrant is back on the streets to promote violence and gangbanging to the youth! Kudos to Roc Nation for all their hard work freeing this young savage alien

    5. lets just hope he dont commit a crime and make all this ¨supporters¨ look like idiots for rooting for him

    6. Im happy the dudes out, doesnt sound like the conditions in detainment were acceptable. But why people saying abolish ICE an “fuck immigration” and that he was held “injustly”. 21 through no fault of his own was in the US illegally. All ICE did was follow procedure. If they actually let everyone out of the detention centres, and stopped monitoring borders, then I guarantee the same people saying fuck ICE would be saying that ICE need to sort their shit out. Its a tough situation but why people acting like they don’t want a system in place to monitor at least to some level, immigration. lmao, everyone really are bandwagon supporters who rock the popular opinion without thinking about it for themselves
