Drake was on hand for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 10 where he was nominated for seven awards.
During the ceremony, he picked up a gilded gramophone in the Best Rap Song category for “God’s Plan.” As he was delivering his acceptance speech, he was noticeably cut short after insinuating awards don’t carry much value.
“We play an opinion based sport, not a factual based sport,” he said. “You already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if they’re singing in your hometown. You’re already winning, you don’t need this right here.”
Before he could finish — boom. Cut to commercial.
