KXNG Crooked is joining the entertainment industry’s revival craze by relaunching his Hip Hop Weekly series. Over a decade after the series began, the veteran MC has announced plans to start another year-long run of freestyles on Friday (January 4).
The former Slaughterhouse member unveiled the news via Twitter on New Year’s Day (January 1). His tweet included a snippet of the first freestyle.
Hip Hop Weekly debuted in 2007 and inspired a long list of imitators to create their own weekly series during the “blog era.” After completing the 52-week run of freestyles in 2008, Crooked revisted the series and launched Hip Hop Weekly Reloaded in 2010.
Although the third edition of Hip Hop Weekly hasn’t even begun yet, Crooked is already feeling the love for the series’ return. On Wednesday (January 2), he tweeted about his excitement for what’s to come in 2019.
