Twitter Shows Kim Kardashian No Mercy For Defending Kanye West

Kanye West ignited a Twitter firestorm on Thursday (December 13) when he went after Drake. After multiple (multiple) tweets airing out his beef with the 6 God, he ultimately revealed Drake had somehow threatened him.

Subsequently, Kayne’s wife Kim Kardashian came to ‘Ye’s defense and suggested without him, there’d be no Drizzy.

“@drake Never threaten my husband or our family,” she tweeted. “He paved the way for there to be a Drake.”

But Kardashian isn’t entirely wrong. In 2009, Drake released the So Far Gone mixtape, which featured the Kanye-produced track, “Say What’s Real.” The beat originally came from Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak cut “Say You Will.” The song in question is what initially sparked Kanye’s entire rant this week when he was sent a text message saying Drake asked ‘Ye to clear “Say What’s Real” for him.

In many ways, Kanye did play a significant role in Drake’s cataclysmic rise to fame. However, it’s evident Twitter doesn’t share that sentiment. Consequently, the reality television star got pummeled in the comment section. Many people just wanted her to stay out of it, but others were offended Kardashian didn’t give credit to Lil Wayne for putting Drake on.

    Check out the reactions below.

    1. Kanye did in fact not only help Drake but Drake literally took his concept as a singing Hip Hop act who didn’t have to be tough to be the Top guy. Lil Wayne was much more street oriented.

      1. @ FACTS…or arguably Kanye took Cudi’s idea. or Kanye took the Native Tongue’s idea of not having to be hard. Or Kanye took RZA’s sped up samples. Drake has already cited Kanye as a huge influence. No new revelation. The truth is: all art is influenced, somewhat derivative and based on something else but it remains that Drake has evolved into something way beyond Kanye West’s heavily Cudi influenced mediocre 808s album that few people actually listen to anymore. Drake’s range is much bigger than that, just like Kanye isn’t just derivative of RZA’s sped-up soul sampling techniques. Kanye is holding onto this Drake influence becuase he is desperate for attention. Drake’s rapping ability and lyricism is much better than Kanye’s. Kanye can’t do a 0 to 100 or Summer Sixteen and he knows this deep down and it drives him nuts. he is clearly jealous. Kanye influences Drake – we all know this. Everyone is influenced by something: Nas took Rakim’s lyricism and elevated it into Illmatic. Jay-z took Biggie’s Ready to Die versatility concept to “Reasonable Doubt”. Doesn’t mean they are the same. Kanye offers one thing; Drake another

    2. A few things.

      1. She’s a person who had her mom put out a video of her having sex. Anyone who holds her opinion on anything in high regard is a fool.

      2. This isn’t Tupac and Biggie. These two emasculated hip hop, so their boasts, threats and anything else can’t be taken seriously.

    3. OVO Army in this bitch! We worship and stand up for our handsome 6ix God and will defend him until we die. Kanye didn’t pave shit for Drake. Why because he sang and rapped before he did? Drizzy did it a thousand times better any way. I smell Pusha TMZ behind Kim’s tweet as well.”, but we see through the bullshit. We don’t play when it comes to the GOAT. OVOXO

    4. Shes right. Without 808s and Heartbreaks there’s no Drake or a lot of these new n iggas. They took Kanye’s idea and ran with it

      1. lol @ “kanyes idea”.. dude is one of the biggest biters alive. that shit wouldnt have happened without kid cudi or t-pain paving the way for ye.

      2. Have you ever heard of an album called The Love Below by a guy named Andre 3000? You’ve probably never heard of him but he’s one of the greatest Mcs ever. That album is a masterpiece and what 808 and all of drakes garbage were trying to replicate. The thing is is that Andre proved himself as an Mc whereas these two cowards never did.

        1. Love below was trash, Andre gets too much credit considering how little music he has put out. If every good artist would end their discography after their 3rd album and just do features here and there they would all be considered legends. Do not take this as me saying anyone in this article is a better rapper than Andre 3000, just pointing out that album was terrible.

        2. 3k is so overrated its insane. he drops 1 verse a year and its usual trash. lmk when hes ready to drop more than 16 bars.

    5. If you’re woman has to defend you on twitter you already lost. Instead of tweeting at Drake she should be worried about why her husband spent the better part of a day tweeting hundreds of tweets at another man instead of spending time with his kids. who am i kidding though kanye probably tweeted that from kims phone.

      1. She’s defending him bc he’s bit well mentally. Something is seriously wrong with him and the Kardashians are trying to act like everything’s fine If Kim actually cares about him she’s going to regret it when he hurts himself.

    6. Fuc k this dummy shit. Listening to Meyhem Lauren Mandatory Brunch Meetings. Didn’t realize his catalog was so deep. Don’t stick your hand in the middle of the fish you piece of sh it

    7. Can anyone tell me why this chick is with dad-bod ye instead of sixpack horse d*ck ray j tho? I mean she has loads of money herself so ray js non existing career cant be it

      1. Lol, these “journalists” don’t know the fundamentals of high school English. My guess is that they’re high school dropouts who get paid peanuts to write this drivel.

    8. 808s was a better Drake album than any Drake album ever released. Kim is correct in this case, everybody who thinks otherwise needs to calm down.

    9. I’m not saying this is my opinion on the matter, but playing devil’s advocate, Kanye did kinda make it acceptable on a mainstream level to be a rapper who had a soft side. Before that you had Common and guys like that, but they didn’t do the type of numbers Kanye did. Plus he did his 808s autotune album a year before Drake really came out with the singing/rapping style. Then again, Kanye was doing alternative hip hop in his early years, Drake was making pop bullcrap. There are some merits to Kim’s tweet but I wouldn’t say it is based in unadulterated fact.

    10. What is it with black people tweeting these reaction pics every time they reply to someone? Every.fuckin.time they do it? I don’t see white people reacting to everything with a picture?

    11. Drakes wack, a silver spoon fed middle-upper class raised privileged clown who bought his way into Hip Hop despite not understanding shit about it on a cultural level. If it wasn’t for the industry being filled with cornball yes men like Raekwon, GFK, all the rest who co-signed him just to appeal to his pop fan base he would’ve been ousted years ago but Hip Hops full of fucking cowards with no integrity and yes men. Fuck Drake and anyone who likes him he should’ve been body bagged years ago for disrespecting Pac.

        1. Does he, than someone who has been a part of it since the early 90s, someone who grew up in it, who has rocked cyphers with everyone from KRS-One to LL Cool J, from Elzhi to Canibus, someone who has rocked stages with crews across the planet FOH my face little boy Drakes wack, and 100% not fucking HIP HOP!!!

    12. Kim always been into beta males…Reggie Bush, Ray J, Kris Humphries, Kanye…there was another one or two in there i feel like I’m missing. Maybe one of beta males can help me out?

    13. Looks like this plastic, horse faced tranny looking fug deleted her Tweets but there was one that was clearly typed by her nutso Husband.

    14. Body bagged for disrespecting pac? Wtf r u talking about? You pac stans are the absolute worst, lots of ppl don’t like pacs music, he kind of sucked at rapping so it shouldn’t be that big of a surprise. Ppl like different things, get over it.
