Roc Nation will executive produce a TV series based on Malorie Blackman’s young adult novel Noughts & Crosses. According to Variety, the company will also handle soundtrack duties for the show, while Mammoth Screen serves as the producer for the BBC series.
Patrick Reardon — who will executive produce for Roc Nation — told Variety, “We are thrilled to partner with Mammoth Screen and Participant Media on this series, which explores issues of race and discrimination through such a provocative and unexpected lens.”
Noughts & Crosses tells the tale of a 21st-century society where people of African descent are members of the ruling class and white people are part of the underclass.
Earlier this year, Roc Nation launched its TV division. Its recent TV and film projects include Time: The Kalief Browder Story and Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story.
