Fayetteville, NC – J. Cole’s first-ever Dreamville Festival was slated to happen last weekend (September 15), but was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence.

Scheduled performers included his KOD Tour mate Young Thug, as well as SZA, Big Sean, and of course, Cole himself.

On Thursday evening (September 21), the Dreamville Foundation, Cole’s nonprofit, launched relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Florence.

The organization will be setting up hot food stations, temporary housing options for families, and supplying food for pantries and shelters throughout Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. They will also support “other local nonprofits who help provide services for the people in Fayetteville.”

According to Dreamville’s website, over 19,000 people are currently living in shelters in North Carolina from the effects of the hurricane. A record-breaking 30 inches of rainfall has also affected the state with even more flooding expected throughout the upcoming weeks.
