Various studies conducted this year have sought out to prove why summer music has such a lasting impression.

Regardless as to the why, it just does. And Spotify has rolled out its top songs of Summer 2018 in playlist format and the tallies are huge.

Unsurprisingly coming in first place was Drake’s “In My Feelings,” whose viral dance challenge propelled it to be streamed more than 393 million times between June 1 and August 20. The Cardi B-featured “Girls Like You” came in second place with 293 million streams, while her own record-breaking “I Like It” (which featured J Balvin and Bad Bunny) came in a close third with more than 289 million streams.

Rap stars such as the late XXXTENTACION, Post Malone, Juice WRLD and also helped shape up the top 20.

“Juice WRLD is undoubtedly the breakout star of the summer,” Carl Chery, Spotify’s Head of Urban Music, says. “His rise was one of the quickest in recent memory but his music has proven to have staying power. His knack for melodies and his willingness to be vulnerable on songs like ‘Lucid Dreams’ connected with his audience in a real way.”
