Beyoncé and JAY-Z have been booked to headline the 2018 Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, an upcoming event honoring the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela.
The festival will take place on December 2 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. Other performers include Pharrell, Usher, Wizkid, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
Oprah Winfrey will deliver a keynote address as part of the festivities.
“Nelson Mandela’s life story is a testament to the power of the human spirit and one man’s ability to change the world by standing up for what he believed in,” Winfrey said in a press release. “It is one of the great honors of my life to have spent so much time with him, and I look forward to celebrating his courageous life.”
The festival will serve as the closing event of Global Citizen’s year-long Be the Generation campaign. The organization has set a goal of ending extreme poverty by 2030.
