The Prince Estate has greenlit a tribute tour in honor of the late music icon titled 4U: A Symphonic Celebration Of Prince.

Curated by The Roots’ drummer Questlove, the set will be performed by the Wolf Trap Orchestra with additional contributions from a live band and several vocalists. They will reimagine a mixture of Prince’s classic songs and deeper cuts pulled from his expansive catalog.

The 4U Tour marks the first and only official tour to be approved by the Prince Estate. According to the tour website, “4U will present the music of Prince like never before, with a full orchestra … highlighting many of his greatest hits alongside lesser known gems.”

Questlove is a well-known fan of The Purple One and upon the singer’s 2016 death, Quest wrote a detailed Instagram post outlining what made Prince Hip Hop.
