Nas and Kelis have reportedly come to an agreement in their ongoing custody battle. According to TMZ, the once married couple has settled on joint legal and physical custody of their 8-year-old son Knight.

The former Mr. and Mrs. Nasir Jones, who divorced in 2010, will reportedly share Knight on holidays. Nas will get Knight on Father’s Day and Kelis will have him on Mother’s Day. They’ll also alternate custody on Knight’s birthdays — she’ll take the odd numbers and he’ll take the even.

Kelis and Nas are still arguing over the co-parenting arrangements for their 8-year-old son Knight, according to Radar Online. The former Mrs. Nasir Jones, who split from the Queens Hip Hop legend in 2009, filed legal documents asking for more than the $8,000 a month she already gets in child support.

She reportedly said Knight’s needs have changed since the original agreement was finalized five years ago. Although there’s no specific dollar amount, Kelis is asking for 50 percent of any school-related, child care and health care costs.

“The child support order in this case has been in place since our son was approximately 3 years old,” Kelis reportedly said in her declaration. “He is now 8 years old. His needs and expenditures have materially changes since the Judgment has been entered. I am informed and believe that Respondent’s income today would support a child support order in excess of $8,000 per month.”

As of now, there is no official ruling from a judge, but they are both due in court on April 4 to discuss the matter.

Although Nas and Kelis have been divorced for seven years, the former couple still has to co-parent their 8-year-old son Knight Jones. According to The Blast, Nas is accusing his ex-wife of preventing the Illmatic legend from seeing his child. Nas plans to take Kelis to court in an attempt to establish an official visitation schedule.

Nas claims he’s “tried to work cooperatively with Kelis over the years,” but singer-turned-chef only “allows” him to see his son “when she deems it convenient for her.”

He also said for months at a time, Kelis will “refuse to set up time for our son and me to spend time together.”

Nas’ proposed schedule includes time with his son on the first, third and fifth weekend of every month. Knight would spend Mother’s Day with Kelis and Father’s Day with Nas, and they’d each get to celebrate their individual birthday’s with the child.

“Life is crazy,” he told MTV. “I [wound] up paying more money to baby mommas than what some of my rap brothers and sisters make. I’ve always been away from too much limelight and that right there put me in your… No one’s exempt from people probing into your life once you get into the game.

“So it put a lot of my business out there, man. It was like, people weren’t thinking I was making that kind of money, and now they knew. I was always low key with it in a lot of ways. It was hard with people being all in your business, and it was just ugly. Divorce can be crazy.”

Nas and Kelis were married for five years.
