Despite claiming his next album will be his last, Logic has announced his own record label — Elysium — which he celebrated in a recent Instagram post. “Im excited to Announce I have founded my very own record label created for the Love and creative freedom of its artists!” he captioned the photo. “This label is everything I have ever stood for.”

In a YouTube video, the Everybodyrapper further explained his intention with the imprint and at the same time, introduced the initial roster, which includes his wife Jessica Andrea, Big Lenbo, Damian Lemar Hudson and John Lihndal. Elysium appears to mark the beginning of a new chapter for the 27-year-old MC.

“Elysium was created mainly because I don’t trust anybody else with the precious cargo that is my family,” Logic said. “I wanted to create a place where they can feel free and literally do whatever they want because this is so much more than just music. It really is a family. So many people that support me are gonna support these artists. What we’re all here to represent is following your dreams because each and every artist that was here didn’t have anything hand to them.

“This is just another avenue that I wanted to create a label, a staple,” he continued. “I just knew in my heart that I wanted so much more than just to rap. And when I first got my six-figure advance, I’ve turned that into millions and millions and millions of dollars as a businessman that I invested into myself, into my company, into my brand. And I’m now taking that same business mindstate and mentality into this record label as well.”
