Following his less-than-favorable mention on JAY-Z’s 4:44 track “Kill Jay Z,” R&B crooner Eric Benet was moved to tweet his response to the song. And in return, Twitter was moved to provide a swift dragging.
On the lyric in question, JAY-Z ponders over his own infidelities as he raps: “You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / Nigga, never go Eric Benét.”
Benet, who gained notoriety for his rumored infidelities on then-wife Halle Berry, had this to say in response to the mention:
“Hey yo #Jayz! Just so ya know, I got the baddest girl in the world as my wife….like right now!”
Due to the wording of the tweet, many on Twitter have been led to believe that Benet’s tweet was either written by or encouraged by his current wife, Manuela Testolini (former wife of Prince). Either way, the Twitter dragging was almost immediate.
“I’m bad, not as bad as Eric Benet” Common said that line once. But no man is worse than broke ass Nas. He married a hoe, tried to turn her into a housewife and it completely backfired on him.
