HBO’s Silicon Valley wrapped up its fourth season on Sunday night (June 25) with a few shocking twists for regular viewers. While the hit comedy is rightly praised for being one of the funniest shows on television, it also has become a bit of a Hip Hop tastemaker.

Over the course of the series, Silicon Valley has used music — particularly in its ending credits — to highlight the work of prominent names like Pusha T and slept-on artists like SHIRT. The show took it up another level in 2017 by debuting original songs throughout the fourth season.

The new tracks included in the 10 episodes were officially released by Mass Appeal Records as part of a proper soundtrack. Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, DJ Shadow, Danny Brown, Too $hort and Onyx were among the Hip Hop stars who contributed original music to the fourth season. The project also featured previously released cuts from Hip Hop heavyweights such as Run The Jewels and Kool Keith (aka Dr. Octagon).
