Since Lil Wayne dropped his debut solo album The Block Is Hot in 1999, a lot of truly great rappers have graced the scene: Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye West and Drake have all shone, just to name a few.

“LIL WAYNE WILL DIE THE BEST RAPPER OF HIS TIME and ERA … niggas gotta stop the bullshit and give the man his credit.”

Of the other contenders, Eminem appears to have been the most gif-able.

The tweet could be seen as a direct response to Kodak Black’s tweet from a month ago about Lil Wayne, which certainly didn’t pay Weezy the same respect.

The young buck took it one step further just last week, when he challenged Lil Wayne to a fight to decide who the best rapper of all time is.

“I’m finna knock that stupid-ass nigga out. And if he whoop me, he the best rapper alive, ya heard me?”
