J. Cole is bringing Christmas early for his fans with the release of his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Onlydue out December 9.

As fans gobble up any info coming out regarding what Cole has been doing since the release of 2014 Forest Hills Drive two years ago,the story of the cover art has been revealed. The LP features a black and white photo showing the North Carolina MC from behind as a young boy looks up at him.

The image was shot by Anthony Supreme, a fellow resident of the Tar Heel State, and he took to Instagram to share his journey from telling his girlfriend in a record store that he wanted to shoot an album cover one day to being asked by Dreamville to photograph Cole. He recalls the photo shoot in Atlanta and then sifting through photos with the rapper and his team for hours to find this one photo.

“I described to Cole that there was just something about this young boys eyes,” Supreme explains in a three-post narrative on his Instagram page. “… This Atlanta neighborhood was just going crazy! People were running out of there house to take a photo of Cole and ask him questions but, their was something to me about this boy and how he kept looking at Cole as he walked around his neighborhood. I can see in his eyes how much this experience is slowly changing his life forever! The young boys face just stood out to me to capture. I saw in his eyes he knew nothing about J.Cole, but was some what amazed how everyone was reacting to him. The boy even asked Cole several times who he was. But, he couldn’t understand what was going on in his world.”

Cole was supposedly hesitant to make the decision on the photo at first and Supreme says he found out just this week that the image was selected for the 4 Your Eyez Only cover art. The photographer says he is excited for the album to drop so the world can see the rest of the images that they took in the album artwork, which he describes as “one of the greatest monuments of my life.”

“I must say I was nervous everyday & became very motivated and inspired by this wonderful human J.Cole !” he concludes. “I couldn’t have ask for anything better! Im from Monroe, North Carolina a small city out side Charlotte, North Carolina and to have my first Official Album Cover with J. Cole that’s a huge representation of North Carolina Is really a Dream come true !”
