It’s all but inevitable for rappers to run wild with the idea of Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. Seeing that most of the Hip Hop culture’s lyrics and activities revolve around money, expect plenty of mixtape covers, punchlines, and of course, memes leading up to the official unveiling of the new historic cash.
During last night’s Warner Bros. and AllDefDigital screening of the new Key & Peele film Keanu, HipHopDX sought out the seasoned expertise of The Game on how rap heads can flip the new currency into our vocab.
“So now when you low [on ends], you can ask to borrow a ‘Tub instead of Dub,” Game quipped to DX correspondent Shirley Ju. “Or you can walk in the weed spot or medical clinic—pending you have your ‘stuff’ and you can be like, ‘Let me get a ‘tub.’ Everything is a ‘Tub now. It ain’t a Dub no more.”

Tubman’s name ranks among Black History teachings elite for her tireless efforts rescuing slaves from their Southern slave masters and into the country’s more accepting Northern regions at the height of the Civil War. Her pending honor on the U.S. currency will come at the expense of seventh President and pro-slavery activist, Andrew Jackson, has been featured on the face of the bill since 1928.
“Now we just have to figure how to throw up the “‘Tub,” he laughed as he brandished the Westside hand sign. “I think it’s dope,” he concluded before adding “Great day in Black History.”
Elsewhere, Game dished on his upcoming 1992 mixtape where he argued that his freebie catalog trumped “95% of Hip Hop’s real albums.”
