Jeezy Wins $5 Million Case Against Former Associate Detetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee

According to AllHipHop, Jeezy has won the case against Detetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee, a former associate who, in 2012, filed a lawsuit against Jeezy and Def Jam Recordings claiming that between them, the two parties owed him $5 million for failing to share profits for songs he helped produce and promote.

Throughout the case, Ellerbee claimed that Jeezy and himself were best of friends and business partners, which led him to believe that he was entitled to half of the Atlanta rapper’s earnings.

Ellerbee stated that he founded CTE Music with Jeezy in 2000, however the rapper said that himself and Ellerbee were indeed not business partners and didn’t have any companies jointly owned.

The case went to trial in Atlanta, Georgia this past Friday (October 30), according to TMZ, however the jury ruled in favor of Jeezy.
