The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Texas Rangers 5-1 yesterday (October 11) in Game 3 of the American League Division Series, ESPN reports.

Prior to the game, Toronto Councillor Norm Kelly, who is a friend of Drake‘s, reached out to Lil B on Twitter. The Blue Jays were down 2-0 in the series.

“Dear @LILBTHEBASEDGOD, Can you please silence the haters and bless the @BlueJays ahead of tonight’s game? Your friend, Norm,” the politician wrote.

“@norm @BlueJays hey norm your request is granted and remember I love you and Canada! That’s number one! – Lil B” the rapper responded.

Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who came to Toronto midway through the season from the Colorado Rockies, hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Marco Estrada pitched six innings allowing five hits and one run for the victory.

After the game, Kelly thanked The Based God.

“no problem norm real recognize real,” Lil B tweeted.

In July, Lil B expressed his approval of the Atlanta Braves when they credited him for their cooking dance celebration.

The Based God began using his powers in basketball, placing a curse on Kevin Durant and James Harden.
