Dr. Dre’s The Pharmacy radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 has welcomed a variety of talent, and this month, Dre welcomed friend and fellow collaborator, Snoop Dogg. With a number of collaborations under their belt, the duo discussed creating records like “Deep Cover” and “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang.”

While sharing the story of how “Deep Cover” came about, Dr. Dre revealed that he was living in a home in Calabasas, California, which was equipped with a studio, when they created the record. According to the producer, they would alternate between partying and cutting records.

In regards to “Deep Cover,” Snoop revealed that Dr. Dre provided him with the first line of the song.

“During this time, we were making records,” Dr. Dre said, according to Complex. “And this is how the song came together. This is how the song ‘Deep Cover’ was created. We’d be partying for a while. We’d go into the studio. I had a makeshift studio in my bedroom and Snoop came in and the song it just happened. And we did the song before we knew it would be a part of this movie, Deep Cover.”

“It was crazy because I remember he just gave me the first line,” Snoop added.

During the show, Dr. Dre shared his hope to one day bring Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar to Europe as part of a full tour.

“One of my dreams right now is to be able to take my ideas and take a show over to Europe,” he said. “I’m 30 years in the game right now and I’ve never been able to take my full production over to Europe. Me and Snoop—we’ve been over there. Me and Eminem have been over there, but it’s just been like spot dates and like taking a microphone over there with a DJ. I never had the opportunity to take the full production over there, and take my full body of ideas over there and present it to all the people over there in Europe that’s been representing and showing me love throughout my entire 30-year career…This is one of the things that I dreamed about doing. I want to call it Beats & Rhymes. I want it to be me and Snoop. I want it to be Eminem. I want it to be Kendrick Lamar.”
