Ice Cube Reacts To N.W.A Being Re-Nominated For Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

    Ice Cube has released a statement about N.W.A getting nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame again in 2016.

    “I am humbled by the nomination and recognition of N.W.A’s contribution to music and culture by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” Ice Cube’s statement says. “It has been an incredible year for us as a group, for our loyal fans and in helping us to all keep Eazy-E’s memory alive.”

    The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees for its 2016 class, Rolling Stone reports.

    N.W.A is among the 16 acts selected. The Rap group was also nominated for the Hall of Fame last year.

    The other Class of 2016 nominees are Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, the Smiths, Deep Purple, Chic, Steve Miller, Chicago, Chaka Khan, the Spinners, Cheap Trick, the Cars, the J.B.’s, Los Lobos and Yes. The artists selected had to have released their first single or album in 1990 or earlier.

    The Class of 2016 will be announced in December.

    Fans can vote for their favorite artists to be selected. The top five artists in the poll will comprise one ballot that will be tallied alongside the other voting members. Voting is open through December 9 via Rolling Stone.

    1. I would like to see then inducted, but its going to be hard going against Deep Purple and Chic, Cheap Trick and Chaka Khan. I would personally vote for Deep Purple, I cant believe they are not in it yet.

    2. All that money the movie made and they ain’t even get in the hof first ballot. That shows you the hall is out of touch

    3. NWA should be in first. They made swearing in music mainstream. Popular. The norm. Period. I like their solo records better personally, but they are ground breaking life changing.

      1. For real. I’m sick of Hip Hop and every other genre having to hope they make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, when that should clearly be just for Rock and Roll. It gives Rock and Roll all the shine and other genres have to take a back seat. You have baseball hall of fame, Football, basketball, why not make one for each genre?
