Playboy is suing MediaTakeOut for publishing images of Azealia Banks‘ photo shoot with the magazine, The Wrap reports.
Banks appeared on the cover of Playboy’s April issue.
The magazine is claiming that MediaTakeOut published the images without permission and posted the pictures with its own watermark. Playboy is saying it copyrighted the images with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Playboy is seeking “up to $150,000 for each copyright infringement” and $25,000 for each violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The DMCA was established in 1998 to protect copyrights in the Internet age.
