DJ Yella says that he was the only N.W.A member present at Eazy-E’s funeral.

During a recent interview with VladTV, Yella admitted to never speaking with the other N.W.A members about their decision not to attend the ceremony.

“Yeah,” DJ Yella replies when asked if he was indeed the only N.W.A member present at Eazy-E’s funeral. “I mean, some people probably just couldn’t take it. I don’t know what the reasons are. We never talked about it, even to this day. That subject will never get talked about.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, DJ Yella weighed in on the notion that foul play was involved and played a factor in the untimely death of Eazy-E.

“You never know,” he says. “All we know is he died from [AIDS]. He had it, he was diagnosed with it, but we don’t know if somebody gave it to him [by] putting it in a syringe [or] whatever. We don’t know. We’ll never know. We just have to accept what it is. It’s over. It was 20 years ago.”
