Gangsta Boo sat down for an interview with DJ Smallz and discusses her recent endeavors, which include her recent tour appearances with Run The Jewels and performing a total of 33 shows as part of Da Mafia 6ix.
She also talks about what she hates the most about touring.
“Being around boys all the time, I need my girl space,” Gangsta Boo says. “And, you know, you gotta be on the go. You gotta wake up. You gotta be ready. You gotta do meet and greets. You gotta eat crazy. Your legs burn. You gotta soak in epsom salt. You gotta do all kinds of stuff. You gotta be healthy, and you know, those are the parts that people don’t see behind the scenes that make a real artist and a world traveler unique.”
Gangsta Boo also speaks of her tour with Da Mafia 6ix in February 2015, two months after the passing of Lord Infamous, one of Three 6 Mafia’s members. Lord Infamous died December 21 and was DJ Paul’s (also from Three 6 Mafia) half-brother.

“A few things happened on the road where I was like, ‘Oh shit, he’s here,'” Gangsta Boo says. “One was [DJ] Paul sampled a song by this Rock band called The Verve, ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ and he made a Lord Infamous song called ‘Triple Six Clubhouse,'” Gangsta Boo says.
“And I don’t know what I was doing but I was sayin’ something about Ricky, that’s Lord now, and I was sayin’ something about him,” Gangsta Boo says. “And I had my Pandora on and the next thing you know the ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ came on. I was like, ‘You mothafucker.’ So yeah, you know, his energy was still there. Long live the Lord.”
