Rich Homie Quan got in trouble in May for the leaked track “I Made It Questionable,” in which he talks about raping a woman. The former Rich Gang rapper then sent out a statement apologizing. “I would never condone rape,” he said at the time.

Soon after, “Day 1” leaked. On the track Rich Homie Quan raps, “Chances ain’t shit if you don’t take one / Mansion full of bitches, about to rape one.”

In an interview with Billboard, the rapper issues another apology and an explanation for the track.

“I’m not a rapist,” he says. “That song was recorded in December 2012. I was young and just rapping. At the time, I had no guidance in my life. I blame it on that. So I apologize once more to my fans.”

He addressed the “I Made It Questionable” lyrics on The Breakfast Clubsaying the situation “was blown out of proportion.”

He also tells Billboard that his track “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” is “something new for me.”
