Fans caught Kendrick Lamar filming the music video for his To Pimp A Butterfly cut “Alright” in Los Angeles, California yesterday (May 28).
The social media posts that surfaced online show the TDE rapper standing on top of a traffic light located on Fig and 11th st. in downtown L.A. Within the various visuals, K. Dot appears to be harnessed by suspension chords attached to a crane.
Over the weekend, the Compton emcee was also spotted in Oakland, California shooting visuals for the same song. The music video for “Alright” will be the third K. Dot has shot off his TPAB album.
In April, K. Dot released the “King Kunta” video, which was shot in his hometown of Compton, California.

Lost all credibility since he started working with the queen of crappy pop, taylor swift
Yeah he’s so whack now isn’t he? Because one song -that is still a good pop song- can undo 3 seriously strong albums and one of them being a true classic also.
Hip hop was only considered dead because people like you bitched and moaned about what rappers can and cannot do which eventually led to the greats being forgotten.
You weren’t really a fan to begin with then.
“Former Kendrick Fan” => You remind me of so-called sport fans. Always behind their favorite teams when they win, but dissing them when they lose. You thought you were a fan, you didn’t.
bye nigga
Bye dude in kendrick’s words “I dont need ya,The world dont need ya”Cuz he gon be ALRIGHT
Not a pop fan but that song is dope, art is art no matter who paints the pic. Clearly you didn’t take time to listen to it. closed minded folks like yourself will always stay in the same position. Art is about growth, evolution, and enlightenment…get over yourself dude.
His verses were good just because he features on peoples songs doesn’t mean you gotta get all butthurt because you don’t like her.
Maybe if K Dot actually had some charting hits on his own, he wouldn’t need to sell out. He’s just like feminem, selling out to pop audiences by doing songs with rihanna.
This is obviously Dan/teetboy making up lies. Besides, Kendrick does have charting hits on his own: Swimming Pools, Don’t Kill My Vibe, i, etc. He didn’t sellout to pop audiences and neither did Eminem.
The song “mortal man” is for listeners like u, then.
For me, as long as he brings out albums like To Pimp A Butterfly, i don’t care who he colabs with. It’s his personal choice (or the choice of his record lable in which case he doesnt have much option)
I knew “Alright” would be the next single. It’s gonna be a big one too. Lots of spins on the radio.
When shit hit the fan, is you still a fan? I guess not @Former Kendrick Fan
Where is the video…
Being filmed still, clearly.
a lot of people don’t understand that kendrick is an artist, being an artist means experimenting, collaborating and pushing yourself further to perfect your art.
Kendricks art is bringing a positive influence to the world, if he has to do a crappy (your words not mine) song to be able to get is form of art to the ears of other people who aren’t hood enough to know his music then what’s so wrong about that. As he said himself, if he was to be a superhero he would be the kind of hero that fits in everywhere. He would blend in and share love wherever he would go.
and if you disagree with that then u really should ask yourself why you are listening to kendrick in the first place.
ps bad blood wasn’t all that bad, if he’d put the verse on an other (less commercial beat) change the hook you’d like it too.
shiiiit, literally can’t believe people talking bout kendrick loosing his credibility over swift song… have you ever listened to his tracks????? wtf?!
First off, true artists don’t see genre and or status of other artists. Taylor Swift is a huge K Dot fan and I am sure she approached him and of course he said yes. Only fans that have no idea how artists work or think care about petty stuff like that.
