Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly is expected to sell between 300,000 and 325,000 units its first week in sales, according to Hits Daily Double.
The Sales Plus Streaming sales figure is projected to be between 350,000 and 375,000.
Both figures are expected to make To Pimp A Butterfly the #1 album in the country when the next sales tally is released next Wednesday (March 25).
By comparison, good kid, m.A.A.d city sold 242,122 its first week in stores in October 2012.

To Pimp A Butterfly’s sales may have been affected by its release Sunday (March 15), nine days prior to its scheduled March 24 release date and its removal on iTunes Monday (March 16).
Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly was streamed more than 9.6 million times on Spotify Monday (March 16), its first day of availability.
That sets a global record for the most album streams in a single day worldwide on Spotify.
