DJ Khaled Addresses Birdman & Lil Wayne Beef; Updates Cash Money Status

DJ Khaled stopped by Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club today (May 11) to debut his new single, “How Many Times,” featuring Big Sean, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne.

The We The Best head honcho also dished on what he thinks about the Cash Money controversy between Wayne and Birdman and revealed he is no longer a part of the imprint.

“First of all, those two guys, that’s family to me,” DJ Khaled says. “That’s family. Lil Wayne is my brother. Birdman that’s family. It’s not my business. I pray for greatness. Those two people know who I am. I feel like people who comment, it’s not their business. I pray for the best and I pray for the best for the culture alone because they’re so successful.”

When asked about his alliance to Cash Money Records, Khaled revealed that he’s been “off” the label “for a minute.”

“I’m with We the Best,” Khaled says. “I promote them everyday. I’m not signed to Cash Money at all… Lil Wayne and Birdman, that’s family to me. The world know that.”

    1. That big fat piece of shit decides to follow bitch wayne’s lead and bail out of cash money. Khaled just threw his fucking career away and Ross ain’t going to be involved him him any more since birdman is ross’s friend.

      1. Everytime somebody decides to leave Cash Money, you show up and make up lies about them. You’re shitting on people you defended so many times years ago. Hypocrite.

      2. You take things too personal. Nobody got stabbed in the back. Nothing these idiots do affects you.

      3. Family? They’re not even related. He doesnt have to stay at that label. Also, I never called anyone an idiot for leaving, you’re just twisting my words. Anyone who leaves Cash Money made the right decision. The pay obviously isn’t high if they complained about not getting paid properly. Quit dickriding Cash Money.

      4. They don’t have to be related in order to be family. Friend call each other brother all the time. And Khaled got a rich deal at cash money getting his own label to help ace hood. Yet Khaled and the other idiots at we the best stabbed birdman and left.

      5. They’re still not family since they’re not related. Khaled’s label already existed before the Cash Money deal. Them leaving doesn’t mean they backstabbed anyone.

      1. No, Khaled’s songs have been shit from the start. He’s been wiprking with those people for a long time, that shouldn’t shock you at all.

      2. Wouldn’t mind him working with the same artists except they are either wack on their own like chris brown or became wack when they left cash money like wayne.

      3. Newsflash: Wayne was always wack. Khaled has worked with damn near everyone on rap, including your favorites.

      4. No, Wayne fell off with the release of Rebirth, when his music got worse and worse. What bitchmade actions on Twitter? There was none.

    2. you can curse, troll and do asinine things on hhdx but if you speak some truth you get banned…….dan/teethboy is the asscrack of commenting on the internet…..get your house in order dx

    3. Why can’t dx at least run a simple spell check. It would be good for the kids. These fucking articles are trash.

    4. HipHopDX: Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz Announces Departure From Cash Money Records.
Dan: Gudda Gudda and Jae Millz are disloyal bitches just like Wayne. Their careers are over.

    5. OK Ok khaled. I bet your “family” will buy you stuff when they find you broke on the street. That’s not your real family, fool.

    6. Yeah khaled let them handle that its none of ur business after all mr. As for Birdman I say “fuck you and ur Thug bitch wayne doesn’t need you” Tunenchi fight for your rights

    7. one word “Kendrick”.man u bitch ass pussie’s times over the golden era of hip hop is bout to start…. I can already imagine lil Wayne working in KFC n birdman wiping bird shit..

    8. “No, Wayne fell off with the release of Rebirth, when his music got worse and worse. What bitchmade actions on Twitter? There was none.” Wayne proved himself to be a terrific rockstar during that time. He fell off when he was turning in subpar work from tha carter 5 like loyal.

      1. No, Wayne proves himself to be a terrible rockstar since Rebirth sucks. He fell off since he released that turd. All of his work since the beginning has been subpar.
