Kendrick Lamar threw out the ceremonious first pitch at Dodger Stadium yesterday (April 27), as the Los Angeles Dodgers took on their intrastate rivals the San Francisco Giants.

While “King Kunta” played over the stadium speakers, Kendrick wound up and delivered a pitch that crossed the plate and appeared to be within the strike-zone.  As the crowd cheered for the Compton, California rapper, the announcer complimented K. Dot’s baseball skills from the press-box, saying “Nice form, nice pitch.”

Lamar also stepped onto the field alongside Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. According to MTV, the Kendrick signed autographs and took photos with fans prior to taking the mound.

This is amazing, especially being from the inner cities of LA,” Lamar told MTV News. “We’ve never been to the Dodger Stadium on this type of level. I’ve probably been way up there, but to actually be in the dugout and on the field, that’s a whole ‘nother story coming from Compton. It’s a blessing, man.”
