Kanye West has been tapped to executive produce the music for a new TV series.

The show, Undergroundcenters around a group of slaves who plan to escape their Georgia plantation. Along the way, they are assisted by an abolitionist couple who run a station on the Underground Railroad.

The series stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Temptation, The Great Debators), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU), and Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton, Leverage).

Details concerning West’s duties are limited, but the “New Black Slaves” rapper most likely will be scoring episodes for the series.
