After it was revealed last October that Juvenile had resigned with Cash Money Records after years away from the imprint, the former Hot Boys member spoke with XXL to reveal his future aspirations with the label.

During the conversation, Juve first explained why he believes his career cycle is similar to Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“Me and Kevin Garnett are kind of like the same,” Juve says. “He won the championship with the Celtics but started off with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he had to leave the team to win the championship. He went around, made his big money, did his business and came back home to Minnesota so he can retire there. I got the same thing going on with me.”

He later opened up about his future aspirations with Cash Money, something that he ensured Birdman was aware of prior to him resigning with the label.

“One of the first things I told him when we sat down and talked about what I wanted to do, I was like, ‘I want to retire and be one of the best CEOs, do the Jay Z [thing], retire, come back and make more money.’ That’s the best rap business move ever. Retire and come back out richer.”

Juve also reiterated his stance on the current feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman, saying he isn’t getting involved and that it’s “their business.”

“I’m on the outside,” he says. “I’m not going to disrespect nobody or say anything about their situation. It’s like being on a basketball team. One thing they won’t do is discuss contracts. They don’t do it. It’s like that for me. It’s their business.”

Later on, Juve spoke on whether fans can expect more music from YMCMB and himself sometime in the future.

“Of course, that’s part of the reason [I signed back],” he says. “Who doesn’t want to work with the best artists? You got to be crazy; I think they are the best artists.”
