      1. to be fair one or two of them are his own artists, he made one of them popular with his remix, and rich gang is his boss birdman’s thing so he gotta show love.

    1. “OMG he’s from the streets. Oh wait, look, look. their from the hood. He must be a real one.”

“The ghetto” is the biggest brand out thus far. It’s literally the big foot/boogie man of white america.

Perception is a motherfucker boy because there isn’t anything to glorify when it comes to people mentally/emotionally/psychologically/spiritually suffering (I point that out specifically because physically on a surface level they have everything that they want but lack the essentials that they need.

      1. As for drake, brother you are more hood than I will ever be and I say that with pride.

The hood needs books not grammies.

        Peace

      2. Why would anyone want to pretend to be from the hood when they didn’t have to live that struggle growing up? Aubrey is a herb.

      3. Shout-out to Kendrick for that “I Love Myself”.

Only a real “hood nigga” would make a song like that for people in the “hood” to listen too.

        Peace

      1. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. Drake…FUCKKKKKKK…..I’m a fan but come on man giving props to trash like Rae samurd or however the fuck you spell that fungus sounding shit, and rich gang fuck outta here

    3. Wow, just when I thought I seen it all from this dude. This is super corny times 10. He’s not even from the hood and he’s giving out “Hood Grammys”? What’s he gonna come up with next?

    4. And to add to that, his fans always say he doesn’t front like he’s from the hood or try to act gangsta. I wonder how they’ll defend this one.

    5. These niggas at the bottom wanna criticize every move that Drake makes LOL. It’s sad, but I almost feel sorry for them. They’ll never know what it’s like to live the life of a rapper that is diverse as Drake is. Sure there are other emcees that can do many things and multitask, but none of them are profound as Drake. Not too many rappers besides Jay Z have surpassed the “almighty” Beatles. You don’t have to necessarily be “hood” to acknowledge others who actually come from the actual ghetto. You niggas really need to start giving credit where credit is due and stop being so close minded. This is not the nineties; the times have changed and it is time to let the new rappers carry the aforementioned torch of tradition and let them shine. Drake is giving special props to those who are underrated and deserve said recognition. This kind of publicity works in everybody’s favor because it gives many known/unknown artists an even bigger platform to stand upon, so thanks, Mr Aubrey, for recognizing and epitomizing true talent!

      1. Yes, because Bobby Schmurda and those underage idiots behind No Flex Zone are worth checking out. Aubrey is a dickrider like you.

      2. “Too much dickriding in your post, nothing factual or valid.” REALLY?

Not too many rappers besides Jay Z have surpassed the “almighty” Beatles.
        ^^FACTS

      3. Yes, because Bobby Schmurda and those underage idiots behind No Flex Zone are worth checking out. Aubrey is a dickrider like you.

Wrong, LOSER. Drake respects talent and Rae Sermmurd and Bobby Smurda have more talent in their pinkies COMBINED than you do in your worthless, anonymous body.

      4. “Not too many rappers besides Jay Z have surpassed the “almighty” Beatles.
        ^^FACTS”

        That ain’t facts.

        ^^COLD, HARD FACTS”

That sure as hell ain’t facts. Dude is only giving props to talentless hacks, his own artists, and his fucking boss.

      5. “Wrong, LOSER. Drake respects talent and Rae Sermmurd and Bobby Smurda have more talent in their pinkies COMBINED than you do in your worthless, anonymous body.”

You’re the wrong one here. Drake don’t respect talent as Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sermmurd have no talent at all. They both suck ass as one got famous off a dance (an automatic career killer) and the other are nothing more than diet Migos (who also suck).

      6. @OP let me handle this. See, sometimes you got to show niggas facts in order to shut them the fuck up. Anonymous niggas tend to become know it alls if you don’t show them facts and they don’t produce any of their own. Opinionated bastards.

^^So I guess freedom of speech is wrong as well? What about all the plethora of other rappers born and raised in the suburbs/middle class areas who tried to come off as hard and gangster? Rakim – Wayandach, NY. Will Smith – West Philly. Busta Rhymes – Uniondale, NY. LL Cool J – St Albans, NY. You mean to tell me you gonna give THOSE niggas a pass and not call them out on it? SMH retard.

These are talented individuals, period. Tell me something, Mr. anonymous pussy. Where’s your platinum/gold plaques? Where’s your digital single? Where’s your viral hit? Did you release a catchy tune that dominated the entire summer? Oh, you don’t have one, then? Shut the fuck up.

      7. You’re the wrong one here. Drake don’t respect talent as Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sermmurd have no talent at all. They both suck ass as one got famous off a dance (an automatic career killer) and the other are nothing more than diet Migos (who also suck).

^^^if that’s the case, why aren’t any artists remaking YOUR viral hit of the summer? Oh you don’t have one? Well then, until you can come up with something better and more innovative than “No Flex Zone” and “Hot Nigga”, I strongly suggest that you eat shit and die.

      8. More bullshit from the Drake stan.

Hood Grammys is made up shit that means nothing. None of the individuals Drake has named have talent. They’re all gimmicks who can’t rap for shit, their music sucks, and they’ll be forgotten by the start of next year. Drake sucks at finding talent.

      9. “^^^if that’s the case, why aren’t any artists remaking YOUR viral hit of the summer? Oh you don’t have one? Well then, until you can come up with something better and more innovative than “No Flex Zone” and “Hot Nigga”, I strongly suggest that you eat shit and die.”

I’m not an artist, though, so what you’re saying is completely pointless. No Flex Zone and Hot Nigga (what a gay ass name for a song) are trash, generic rap and both Bobby and Rae have no talent.

      10. I ain’t reading that pointless article.
-It says it right there in black and white, genius. Are you illiterate or just plain lazy? Never mind.

All of this is irrelevant shit.
-How so? You mocked Drake for being from the suburbs, so I’m calling a spade a spade. You don’t need to be from the hood to give props nor do you have to blend in to sound cool. That’s not Drake’s style.

-Made up or not, I think it’s a rather touching tribute to this upcoming generation of emcees. The fruits of their labor are finally paying off.

      11. “-It says it right there in black and white, genius. Are you illiterate or just plain lazy? Never mind.”

        It’s all pointless shit.

Because it has nothing to do with what I said, you just bring up more irrelevant shit.

“-Made up or not, I think it’s a rather touching tribute to this upcoming generation of emcees. The fruits of their labor are finally paying off.”

No, it’s not. It’s dickriding a bunch of trash one-hit wonders and no-hit wonders. The fruits of their labor are not paying off, it’s all luck and connections. These dudes are not a good representation of this generation of rappers. They can’t rap, their music is garbage, and they won’t be around for long. You didn’t even care about them until Drake co-signed them, fucking groupie.

      12. I’m not an artist, though, so what you’re saying is completely pointless. No Flex Zone and Hot Nigga (what a gay ass name for a song) are trash, generic rap and both Bobby and Rae have no talent.

-Are you really that dense? Sheesh. I’m asking rhetorical questions in a sarcastic manner. My point is that you’ll never match the success of both songs even if you tried because you lack any musical skill unlike the aforementioned artists.

      13. Drake runs rap strikes again. First, he says Bobby Shmurda and Rae Sremmurd have talent, then he really lost when he said Will Smith was trying to act hood/gangsta. Never go full retard, kids.

      14. Again, I’m not an artist, so what you’re saying is 100% pointless. You look like an even bigger idiot. Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sremmurd have no music skills and talent at all. Their rapping is basic elementary and their success is not impressive as they’ll never get another hit song. They got it easy because nowadays, an artist can spit some nonsense gibberish over a trap beat and score a hit.

      15. It’s all pointless shit.
-Lazy bastard, I rest my case.

Because it has nothing to do with what I said, you just bring up more irrelevant shit
-I was providing examples that every rapper doesn’t live that life.

No, it’s not. It’s dickriding a bunch of trash one-hit wonders and no-hit wonders. The fruits of their labor are not paying off, it’s all luck and connections. -And how are YOU so sure that they won’t have a few more hits under their belts? Let the times tell who’s relevant and who’s irrelevant. Soulja Boi still has a career and everybody wrote HIM off as a one hit wonder. Even if it is luck and connections, they worked hard to garner attention from the major record labels and it paid off big time. I can guarantee you that in the next 10 – 15 years, they’ll be remembered as one of the biggest rap acts of their time and will still maintain a career by then.

      16. “-Lazy bastard, I rest my case.”

No, it’s you who’s the lazy bastard.

“-I was providing examples that every rapper doesn’t live that life.”

        Once again, it was pointless.

“-And how are YOU so sure that they won’t have a few more hits under their belts? Let the times tell who’s relevant and who’s irrelevant. It’s history. Artists like these are bound to be one-hit wonders. Soulja Boy has no career hence him being on LAHH and being a joke. These artists didn’t work at all, so nothing paid off. The chance of them being big rap acts in the next 10-15 years is as about as likely as pigs growing wings and flying, in other words, 100% unlikely. Bobby and Rae are just flavor-of-the-moment gimmick acts who will be forgotten through time.

      17. Again, I’m not an artist, so what you’re saying is 100% pointless. You look like an even bigger idiot. Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sremmurd have no music skills and talent at all. *sigh* The songs are intended to be incredibly catchy so that the listener has a chance to not only forget the artist’s songs, but also anticipate them for their next groundbreaking hit(s).

      18. sigh* The songs are intended to be incredibly catchy so that the listener has a chance to NOT forget the artist’s songs, but also anticipate them for their next groundbreaking hit(s).

      19. That’s a lame excuse. These songs are just simple as shit because they can’t rap or write lyrics, just chant some nonsense. Nothing they’re doing is groundbreaking and they will not score anymore hits. They’re the modern-day JKwon.

      20. It’s history. Artists like these are bound to be one-hit wonders.
_What exactly is a one hit wonder? Lets stop confining artists to such standards. Whether one hit or one and a half hit, does it really matter? As long as they’re still doing music, who really gives a shit what you think? Relevancy is being able to perform music even if the fickle fans have long forgotten about you. You’ll still have a career.

Soulja Boy has no career hence him being on LAHH and being a joke.
-The motherfucker CONSISTENTLY puts out mixtapes on a nearly monthly basis, so how is that not considered a career?

These artists didn’t work at all, so nothing paid off.
-Then what would explain the fact that they wrote their own material? It’s not like they hired a ghostwriter. Therefore they worked for it.

The chance of them being big rap acts in the next 10-15 years is as about as likely as pigs growing wings and flying, in other words, 100% unlikely. Bobby and Rae are just flavor-of-the-moment gimmick acts who will be forgotten through time.
-LOL I guarantee you’ll see them in the next few years, consistently putting out mixtapes or doing other endeavors like producing or ghostwriting.

      21. “_What exactly is a one hit wonder? Lets stop confining artists to such standards. Whether one hit or one and a half hit, does it really matter? One-hit wonders are artists who became big off one song, who can’t score another one, and then disappear next year, i.e. guys like Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sremmurd.

“-The motherfucker CONSISTENTLY puts out mixtapes on a nearly monthly basis, so how is that not considered a career?”

And no one gives a fuck about those piles of trash. That ain’t a career. The guy is a human joke in rap.

“-Then what would explain the fact that they wrote their own material? It’s not like they hired a ghostwriter. Therefore they worked for it.”

They clearly don’t write anything, they just spew whatever’s in their peanut-size brain. They ain’t worked for it.

“-LOL I guarantee you’ll see them in the next few years, consistently putting out mixtapes or doing other endeavors like producing or ghostwriting.”

That won’t be happening. They’ll be forgotten through time while another rapper takes their spot.

Don’t you ever get tired of defending these talentless hot-at-the-moment rappers? They’re not worth it, you’re wasting time.

    6. Drake should stop bothering with these wackass hoodrats, the kid is bigger than the Beatles now
      #bawse!!!

    7. Drake mentions his boss, his OVO crew, two one-hit wonders, and a no-hit wonder named OG Maco. Clearly, his judgement needs fixing.

    8. All the things you say about Bobby Schmurda and Rae Sremmurd was also said about Trinidad James (dropped from label and broke), Kreayshawn (album flopped), YC (the guy behind Racks who became irrelevant as Future is doing better than him), Cash Out (irrelevant), Cali Swag District (irrelevant), New Boyz (irrelevant), Yung Joc (irrelevant), Mims (irrelevant and disappeared from the face of the earth), etc.

      1. You people and relevancy. What exactly does irrelevancy mean anyway? So you don’t crank out the hits that you used to, big freaking deal. Not every fan is considered a mindless robot like yourself. As long as the artist continues to enjoy success from the past and they still maintain the ears of an extremely loyal fanbase, so fuck you.

      2. Ironically, you are a mindless robot stanning for shitty rappers. These artists don’t care about music, they care about money. They ain’t gonna live off their one hit and they won’t have a fanbase.

      3. Weren’t you the one bragging about others being irrelevant, now you’re saying irrelevance doesn’t matter? You’re backtracking big-time.

      4. Weren’t you the one bragging about others being irrelevant, now you’re saying irrelevance doesn’t matter? You’re backtracking big-time.
-Wrong. You’re mistaking me for someone else.

Ironically, you are a mindless robot stanning for shitty rappers. These artists don’t care about music, they care about money. They ain’t gonna live off their one hit and they won’t have a fanbase.

-Wrong again. I respect talented individuals who have the courage to perform on stage in front of thousands of people for a living in order to live out their dreams.
What about artists like Vanilla Ice and Sir Mix A Lot? They’re still eating off of their one hits and still have a fanbase.

      5. “-Wrong. You’re mistaking me for someone else.”

        No, that’s all you.

“-Wrong again. I respect talented individuals who have the courage to perform on stage in front of thousands of people for a living in order to live out their dreams.”

No, you don’t. You’re only riding for these dudes because Drake mentioned them where before, you didn’t care about them. None of them are talented at all.

    9. ‘Drake Runs Rap’- You have wayyyyyy to much free time bro. Idk if you are a troll or a seriously gay fan but either way you definitely put work in to perfecting your craft

    10. Hollywood is buzzing about Drake’s performance in Think Like A Man too. Some say Oscar. Others say multi picture deal with the studio of his choice.
