Recently sitting down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Dave Chappelle described working with Kanye West early in his career.

“You could tell he was going to be a star,” Chappelle says. “It was like Muhammad Ali in Olympic Village. He just knew he was going to get the gold.”

Chappelle also described ‘Ye’s braggadocios behavior, something he still carries to this day.

“Jay Z says on the record, ‘Kanyeezy, you’s a genius,” Chappelle says. “‘You did it again,’ and Kanye stood up, first time he spoke all day. and said, ‘Stop the record and rewind that.'”
