Atlanta, Georgia native Ludacris is fighting for the custody of his 2-month-old daughter.
According to TMZ, Ludacris filed legal documents describing him as a “fit and capable parent” and says that he should gain full physical custody. Ludacris also points out that he’s been a supposed “active father” in the life of his 12-year-old daughter. The publication also reports that Ludacris has asked the judge on the case to have Tamika Fuller, the child’s mother, pay him child support.
Last week Ludacris reportedly appeared in court with Fuller to discuss child support payments. After Fuller demanded a child support payout of $15,000 per month, the judge awarded her less than half of that, hitting Ludacris with a monthly child support bill of $7,000.
During the case, Luda has said he could pay $1,800 a month and according to an earlier report by TMZ. The rapper says he made approximately $55,000 last year. Ludacris reportedly told the judge on the case he has been unable to fulfill the payments Fuller requested because he is not receiving the money he anticipated via the creation of the seventh edition of the Fast & Furious film series, which he was set to co-star in. The motion picture is currently on hold following the death of co-star Paul Walker, who was involved in a fatal car accident in November.
