Problem is representing the West Coast well right now. The Compton rapper’s “Like Whaaat” single with Bad Luccc is a hit on the Left Coast, he’s finishing up the “Million Dollar Afro Tour” with IamSu! and he recently released his LRG “Ain’t Nobody Hotter Than Me Vol.1” mixtape featuring Wiz Khalifa, Trinidad Jame$, Chris Brown, Tyga, Young Jeezy and Juicy J, among others.
Now you can add meeting Dr.Dre and T.I. on the same day to his list of notable moments in 2013. “The first time I met T.I. we were supposed to go do a song,” Problem says in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “Then he is like we are going to go somewhere else. We follow him to Dr. Dre’s house. So, OK, I met T.I. and Dre for the first time in one night. So we get in there and it’s not like a music scene. We just chilling and fuck. Then we recorded a record. It was crazy, mind blowing experience. That was the first time I met T.I.”
Problem has been on the grind for a minute. The Diamond Lane Music Group artist is a respected songwriter that has crafted material for noteworthy names like Snoop Lion (a/k/a Snoop Dogg), Lil Wayne and The Game. The West Coast lyricist has also collaborated with Wiz Khalifa, Kid Ink, Jay Rock and Freddie Gibbs, among others.
