One of Hip Hop’s biggest out-of-genre collaborators of late has been Miley Cyrus. The former Disney “Hannah Montana” star turned Pop music sensation has worked with Snoop Lion, Tyler, The Creator and most recently, will.i.am. This week, an interview with MTV Hive reveals that her list is growing, and it’s now including Bad Boy Records breakout French Montana.
Asked about the relationship, the Coke Boys leader touted, “[Miley Cyrus is] my dog. That’s my peoples. We became friends at the Clive Davis Grammy party.”
Ever the celebrity function, French notes that he was in the company of his mentor, while she was rolling with the Taylor Gang. “I was sitting there with [Diddy]. She was sitting there with Wiz [Khalifa]. She just kept looking at me laughing, I kept on looking at her laughing. I said, ‘What you laughing at?’ She said, “I know you high like me.'” According to Montana, that was all it took. “After that, we became mad cool. I went over to the studio, just kicking it.”
The Excuse My French maker confirmed that the studio was used to make more than a friendship. “We working on something now. That’s just cool peoples.”
