Over the past decade, Ohio producer/emcee Hi-Tek has crafted countless acclaimed beats for some of Hip Hop’s most iconic emcees. Now, in a recent interview with AllHipHop, the Reflection Eternal producer announces that he has a new album in the works.
Hi-Tek revealed that he is currently working on his fourth solo album, titled Hi-Teknology: Ohio Player. Although he has no set date for the project, he explained that the LP is about 50% complete and will have its first single ready to drop in 2013.
“The next time I put out an album it’s going to be right,” he said. “In 2013 I’m going to drop a single, put out some music, and I’m getting my new website together Hi-TekMusic.com, the next album is going to be called, Hi-Teknology: Ohio Player, it’s going to be an addition to the Hi-Teknology series and it’s kind of based on me being a person from Ohio, puttin it down, strong with the music and it’s ode and a dedication to the OGs, and its something to inspire those from where I’m from because so much music has come from here…my whole new project is about 50 percent done and I’m just trying to find distribution for it right now. That’s really my main focus right now, just getting this album together.”
DX will keep you updated as more information on the album comes to light.

‘Bout. Damn. Time.

yes da RETURN of REAL HIP HOP
RPM’s was dope as fuck. Been a hot minute since the last Hi Teknology album. Looking forward to this
Kweli said it the best: it was the most slept-on album of 2010. For me, even if lot of the fan won’t agree, “RPM” was better than “Train of Thought”. As for a solo Hi-Tek project, the last was in 2007 so its about time. Hope he’ll carry on tradition with another quality release, a man who responsible for tracks like “Music for Life” (if you don’t know it YouTube it, incredible piece of art) should deliver.
You’re right. A lot of fans won’t agree with you. RPM was cool, but no way no how is it touching Train of Thought.
Yeah RPM was good, but not messing with Train of Thought or Eardrum for that matter. Still a very solid album though.
Looking forward to this.
Man, hi-tek beats are one of my favorites…just checked out RPM, that track strangers is crazy. It was a re-make of some other beat he did for this Ohio Rapper I think. BUT this Time he killed it even more. And bun b’s slow flow on top is niceee
can’t wait until this hi teck album. He is one of the few guys I listen to besides Alpha Leo(jawdroppa) who just put out one of the dopest mixtapes I ever heard. http://www.datpiff.com/Alpha-Leo-David-And-Goliath-mixtape.392162.html
