Drake stirred up some controversy after he confirmed that he and producer Noah “40” Shebib would serve as executive producers on Aaliyah’s posthumous album. While the public has only heard the project’s first offering, “Enough Said,” Drizzy’s Young Money boss Lil Wayne says that the collaboration is “awesome” and that it will be made only better by Drake’s “thoughtful” approach.
“Everybody knows what Aaliyah did and done for music and culture,” said Wayne. “It’s always good to do that not only for people like that, but for her fans. Drake’s a very thoughtful person, everyone knows that. It’s an awesome collaboration.”
As for her back catalogue, Weezy claims that it still holds up today, stating that it’s even better than some of the music out at the moment. “Her music is still awesome. It’s still better than a lot of music out right now,” he said.
