Ahead of the release of his sophomore album The Day After Tomorrow, Maino plans on tiding over fans with a free mixtape titled I Am Who I Am: The Album Before the Album. During an interview with GWHH, the Brooklyn, New York rapper revealed the guest stars for the project, which will balance the deficit of rappers on his sophomore LP.
“I don’t do too many surprise guests. I got a mixtape that I just did that’s called I Am Who I Am: The Album Before the Album, that’s going to be out before the album. The thing about that is, I got a lot of features on there. I got Yo Gotti on there, Prodigy, Lil Wayne, Lloyd Banks, Jim Jones, Khaled, Ace Hood… The thing with that is, when it comes time for albums, I feel like I want to be selfish, because I want to give people my story. I don’t want to share it.”
The Day After Tomorrow, which features production from GQ Beats, Coalition Forces, Dangerous LLC and Mista Raja, will release on January 31st.
