Rich Hil Announces “S.Y.L.D.D. (Support Your Local Drug Dealer),” “500 Grams” Mixtape

After signing a major label deal with Warner Bros. Records this past July, DXNext alum Rich Hil has announced that his debut S.Y.L.D.D. (Support Your Local Drug Dealer) will release in January 2012.

The album is set to feature production from Lex Luger and Cardo, known for his work on Wiz Khalifa’s projects. In anticipation of his LP’s release, Hil plans on dropping his new mixtape 500 Grams, produced entirely by Lex Luger, on December 13th.

Explaining his LP’s title, Hil said, “S.Y.L.D.D. is as dark and as heavy as life. […] The happy part of it is the highs, but the lows are my insecurities and the coming down part. You can hear it in my voice.”

Hil will embark on a “S.Y.L.D.D.” tour in January 2012 in support of the album.

    1. This is Tommy Hilfiger’s son. If you love straight-up pampered minstrel rap, then you’ll love this wigster who talks about how hard it was going to public school (Gasp!) and only getting vegetarian sushi in his lunchbox instead of that sashimi tuna.

    2. I thought rap was about telling ones testimony. Who give’s a shit where they are from, or who’s son. If you relate listen. If not who cares.

      1. Agreed. This site is wack for the most part. Sorry guys but your material is limited and sketchy. No more white rappers , thanks. At least for a week.

    3. We just ran an article on Rich Hill, he was rated the worst rapper of 2011 by our staff! Thanks Hip HopDx for proving again, and again that you are taking money for your slots on your site! Hip Hop is a culture, it isn’t on the radio because of this, and now it isn’t even on the top blogs online!
