Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow” Certified Triple Platinum

Earlier today, Wiz Khalifa’s latest single “Roll Up” crossed the platinum threshold after selling upwards of one million copies. Now, his breakout hit “Black & Yellow” has been certified triple platinum for sales of three million units, according to a representative from his label Rostrum Records.

After becoming an omnipresent hit and spawning a slew of remixes by other artists, “Black & Yellow” first earned platinum certification on January 14th, hitting the double platinum mark on March 15th. The Stargate-produced jam also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper is gearing up for his summer “Rolling Papers World Tour,” commencing on June 12th at Maryland Heights, Missouri’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

    1. 3 Million units of what??? itunes downloads?? NOONE buys CD’s anymore, especially singles, just curious how they calculated this.

    2. if any nigga hates on him, then go fuck your self. wiz is doing his thang right now. rolling papers was horrible to what he can put out, (especially his new shit) but dont any of yall hate. no reason. TGOD.

      1. From an entrepreneul sense I understand you, from a musical sense I cant relate at all. You have haters and you have honest people and quite frankly his rapping aint my cup of tea. If that makes me a hater to the wiz fanboys then so be It, but you will keep wondering why acts like these dissapear after a spell of so called “hits”. Hes certainly no lil wayne(this guy is garbage) who seems to have some kind of grip on his core fanbase.

    3. Congrats to Wiz. I’m loving the rap game right now because of dudes like Wiz. It’s cool anybody talented can get a buzz going, upload to youtube or worldstar, and make some serious money. Dudes are eating good off tour dates and itunes.

    4. Congrats to Wiz doin his thing I remember when he was just a mixtape guy now he’s droppin platinum tracks good for him

    5. Black and yellow is going to be the song of his life. I bet he’ll have other hits but not on this level.

    6. Ok this dude is doing his thing and I am not hatin. But for me his album is something to smoke and chill out with a GIRL than to bang like a Boom Bap in your car.
4 Real young dude is chill but the sound is to spacy mellow with soft hooks

    7. around this time last year, i was listening and loving Kush and OJ, now I have the nothing but hate for this dude, once the gimmick wears off, he’s nothing more then a less than average rapper.
