Lauryn Hill lent her vocals to the posthumous Bob Marley tune “Turn Your Lights Down Low,” and now, she’s furthering her tribute to the reggae legend. The songstress is scheduled to join a handful of big names performing classic Marley songs during a weeklong tribute airing this week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Hill, who will perform two songs on Thursday, May 12th, is one of several musicians tipping their hats to the deceased singer. Additional participants include Ziggy Marley, Chris Cornell, Jennifer Hudson, Jakob Dylan, Lenny Kravitz and Keith Richards, who will appear on the show but is not confirmed as a performer.
The former Fugees member is currently on her Moving Target: Extended Intimate Playdate Series Tour. She previously explained that after a long hiatus from music, she is ready to express herself again through the artistic medium.

fuck lauren hill,
blaze it!
Thanks for this bit of information. I don’t usually watch Fallon. It would be nice to have a compilation of these performances.
We need artist’s like Lauryn to continue to push the envelope when it comes to expression in music. I hope to catch her in concert sometime soon and I am happy that she is still doing it.
Based off of recent performances from the great ms. hill…this will either be triumphant or tragic.

Wow Fallon consistently gets excellent guests for his show
Bob Marley has influenced the entire world with his music, which will live on to be rediscovered by more and more generations to come. His work has affected my life and my art so much. I paid tribute to him with a surreal and psychedelic portrait inspired by his words. You can see it on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/05/in-memoriam-bob-marley.html
I am def going to watch that!!! thanks hhdx
