After taking Paris by storm to record for their upcoming collaboration LP Watch The Throne, Jay-Z and Kanye West are back in the Big Apple. The longtime associates have reportedly relocated their studio headquarters from New York City’s Mercer Hotel to the Tribeca Grand Hotel, recording “tons of tracks” for the highly anticipated album.
According to NY Post’s Page Six, Jigga and Yeezy were supposedly recording new tunes from late Wednesday night through Thursday morning in the makeshift studio. Eyewitnesses claim that Kid CuDi was in attendance, as well as Universal executive Barry Weiss and label staff. The pair also remained entirely focused on the music, with Beyonce nowhere in sight and no liquor on the premises.
The album, originally conceived as an EP, was slated for release in early January but delayed after the release of cuts “H.A.M.” and “That’s My Bitch” featuring La Roux’s Elly Jackson. The LP is expected to feature guest appearances from Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
