Rhymefest & Lupe Fiasco Hosts Fundraiser For 20th Ward Alderman Race

Chicago, Illinois emcee Rhymefest may add a new job to his extensive Blue Collar resumé, but before does, he needs to fund-raise. The veteran lyricist is running for 20th Ward Alderman in his home city, and will gain supporters this weekend when he calls on friend and peer Lupe Fiasco for a hometown performance fundraiser.

The event will take place at Chicago’s Shrine venue on Sunday November 14 at 9 pm CST. Tickets to attend the event, which according to website Chicagoist.com, may also include opportunities for voters to ask Rhymefest questions about his campaign and platform, are $35 in advance and $40 at the doors. Those wishing to pre-order may do so here.

Earlier this year, Rhymefest released his second album, El Che.
