RZA and Russell Crowe worked together in 2007’sAmerican Gangster and they will be joining forces yet again. The two will combine their talents for The Man With the Iron Fist, RZA’s first effort as a feature film director. E! Online reported the news, noting that Crowe will play a man who is ready to knock people out.
“I won’t spoil it for you, but Russell’s gonna be the baddest man alive,” the Wu emcee/producer told E! “That man is in fighting shape. That man will knock you out.”
The film will be filmed in Shanghai and it is being co-produced and co-written by Eli Roth.
This will not be the only time Crowe and RZA will be together again. The two will also appear in November’s The Next Three Days.

In other RZA news, the Shaolin representative recently spoke on the Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Raekwon collaboration, “Runaway Love (Remix),” saying he thinks it’s “great.” In an interview with Rap-Up, he said that mixing the styles can be a positive thing.
“I think it’s crazy and it’s great because the [sampled] song, ‘Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta Fuck Wit,’ is a hard song and to hear Justin Bieber on top of that song, it just shows that it’s like an old Kung-Fu theory. It says, ‘Be hard as steel, soft as cotton.’ I think music allows us to do that. Like Bruce Lee said, ‘Be like water my friend.’”
He also went on to say he would collaborate with people from “different walks of life.”
