After revealing yesterday (August 5) that they signed a production deal with Cash Money Records, production duo Cool & Dre wasted no time explaining the reasons behind the move.
“In 2011 it’s all about diversifying your talent and aggressively pursuing opportunities,” explained Dre in an interview with AllHipHop.com. “It’s not about replacing legends and their accomplishments, it’s about creating a new legacy to inspire future young business men and women.”
The producers have had an extensive collaborative history with Lil Wayne and Birdman, dating back to 2005’s Tha Carter II.
At the conclusion of the interview, Dre added, “Catch you at the Heat games, Wade let’s get it!”
